Saving the lifetime appearance of the body of Vladimir Lenin in 2016 will cost the budget 13 million rubles.
The corresponding application is posted on the public procurement portal by the Federal Guard Service of Russia. The contract is designed for a single supplier, and the service should be provided at least until November 2016.
The remains of the revolution leader were embalmed and placed in a mausoleum specially built on Red Square, where they remain until now. In Russian society, the question of whether to betray Lenin’s body to the ground is often discussed, but the idea is faced with active opposition from the CPRF. At the same time, opinion polls show that Russians consider it necessary to bury Lenin.
