The General Staff of the Ukrainian army reported that the withdrawal of heavy weapons from the boundary line between the security forces and the separatists began in the Donbas.
As reported by the Ukrainian command, the withdrawal of 100-millimeter cannons was begun. At the same time, in Kiev, they stressed that if the militants of the DPR and the LPR try to conduct an offensive, the armament pullout schedule can be adjusted.
At the same time, militia under OSCE control began to withdraw heavy weapons back on February 24. On February 27, the forces of the Donetsk People's Republic are planning to continue this process. Later, the beginning of the withdrawal of weapons in the DPR was explained by “bureaucratic procedures”. Earlier, the militia accused Kiev of failing to comply with the terms of the Minsk agreements.
