The government of Dmitry Medvedev published a decree on reducing the subsistence minimum in the country by 198 rubles.
The new cost of living is 9691 rubles. Thus, Medvedev has brought the subsistence minimum to the minimum wage, which currently amounts to 7,800 rubles. Interestingly, this is already the second lowering of the subsistence minimum in six months - previously, the government carried it out in December 2016.
